  • HNC Civil Engineering

    This course is delivered at our Falkirk campus and provides students with a sound understanding of civil engineering construction principles and techniques. The course will prepare students for employment as civil engineering technicians and provide them with relevant experience and further higher academic study to be able to hold senior technician positions.

    The course is designed for those seeking a career/or progressing their careers in civil engineering design, management and maintenance of infrastructure elements such as construction of buildings, bridges, roads, railway, water and sewerage systems.

    It will provide individuals with a range of practical vocational and theoretical skills utilising modern equipment and techniques in design procedures, surveying and material testing, enabling candidates to make an immediate contribution in their role as engineering technicians. Optional units covering wider aspects of the industry will enable students to develop in other relevant areas of construction and civil engineering fields such as CAD.

  • HNC Electrical Engineering - Evening

    This course is designed for the study of electrical and electronic engineering and enables progression to higher levels of study to University or to second year of HND electrical Engineering.

    This course will be delivered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

  • HNC Engineering: Fabrication Welding

    This advanced course provides students with a wide range of knowledge and skills required for fabrication, welding and inspection relevant to the mechanical, manufacture, process, oil and gas and alternative energy industries.

    The objective of the programme is to provide a broad understanding of fabrication, welding and Inspection technologies.

    In addition, it develops organisational skills, leadership and interpersonal skills.

     

  • HNC Petrochemical Operations (Chemical Engineering)

    This course focuses on the underpinning knowledge and principles required for working in an industrial setting.

    The majority of students on this programme have relevant industrial experience or are undertaking work based training programmes simultaneously.

  • Access to Engineering

    This course provides students with experience of a broad range of different types of engineering and the core skills to progress on to National Qualifications. It aims to give individuals greater confidence in their own abilities and fully inform them about a career in engineering.
